Abstract:

Unlike the vedic poetry, that of the early Dravidian is not obsessed either with the appeasement or with the adoration of nature; hence it does not contain hymns of divine praises. The early "Dravidian" gods also did not personify nature in the manner in which some Vedic gods did.
