NIAS-DST Training Programme for Women Scientists: Science and Sustainability in India, JRD Tata Auditorium
The National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS) has been organizing with support from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India to conduct courses relevant to national themes for the last several years. Under the Plan Scheme “DISHA Programme for Women in Science” DST has invited NIAS to organize a course on “Science and Sustainability in India” for Scientists and Technologists during September 23-27, 2019. This course is being organized for mid-level women scientists and technologists with minimum experience of 9 years onwards upto 21 years so that they could be made aware of the enormous potential and prospect afforded by this new scientific and technological development. This course is to enable women to interact with various scientists and technologists and explore possibilities of increasing their own presence, visibility and entrepreneurial capabilities in Science and Technology. This is meant exclusively for Women scientists in India. It is a fully residential course and the participants will be provided guest house accommodation on campus. Local hospitality will be provided by NIAS.

Participation in this course is limited to 25 based on a review and selection process as per the guidelines given by DST.
